We have a depth of experience with administrative proceedings and arbitrations. We have successully represented public sector employers in dozens of arbitrations involving appeals of disciplinary actions or grievances under collective bargaining agreements. We have also successfully represented numerous public sector employers in appeals relating to CalPERS retirement benefits before Administrative Law Judges and the CalPERS Board. We have responded to unfair practice charges and complaints issued by the California Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) and reached mutually satisfactory settlement agreements at informal settlement conferences at PERB. We have prepared numerous responses to complaints of discrimination filed with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and successfully settled many of such complaints.
